Custer partnered with Indiana Tech to thoughtfully design their new residential hall in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
In late 2023, Custer collaborated with Indiana Tech to furnish and design the university’s newest residential hall, Troder Hall. While we had specific guidelines for the main floor’s furniture and layout, we enjoyed the creative liberty to design the smaller areas on the other floors.

To maintain a cohesive look while aiding wayfinding, we used the same products on each floor but varied the color themes. This made it easy for students to identify their floor as soon as they exited the elevator.
We extended these color themes into the individual dorm rooms, particularly with the student chairs, ensuring a consistent and vibrant aesthetic throughout Troder Hall. This project highlights our ability to blend functionality with design, creating spaces that are both practical and aesthetically elevated.
